The 2011-2012 CCTC Lunchbox Chat Season will be short but sweet. So short will it be, in fact, that there won't be any chats taking place during the 2012 winter term - rendering the reference to that year in the series title all but redundant (except to distinguish it clearly and decisively from the 2010-2011 season).
The considerable sweetness, however, comes packed in a pleasurably concentrated double punch. The fall of 2011 will see master puppeteer Ronnie Burkett and playwright and performer Daniel MacIvor interviewed in succession by Kim McCaw in the Timms Centre lobby on October 6 and November 17, respectively. Both artists are at the forefront of current new Canadian play creation and enjoy tremendous popular and critical success.
Check the CCTC's events calendar for times and other details about the upcoming chats with these two artists.
The CCTC Lunchbox Chats are free, midday, public interviews with local, national and international theatre creators. Taking place in the Lobby of the Timms Centre for the Arts on selected Thursdays throughout the academic year, they are hosted by CCTC Director Kim McCaw. The chats with McCaw generally last about half an hour and are followed by a twenty-minute period for questions from the audience.
